Wear this Weekend: What THEY'RE Wearing!!

Friday quiz time!
What do you get when you put hundreds of the most stylish fashion bloggers in a room together?

A.  A competition for most elaborate footwear.
B.  Enough fur to put PETA out of business.
C.  Neon and mixed prints.
D.  The new J Brand ready-to-wear collection.
E.  All of the above.

Well, this might come as a shocker, but the answer is E!  ALL OF THE ABOVE!!!

So, as I sit here icing my poor foot after a long day of prancing around in 6" Proenza Schouler stilts, I'd like to take this time to recap the fabulous threads being sported by the taste-makers of tomorrow: the attendees of the 2012 IFB Conference.

Let's start with A: The Footwear.
In case you haven't heard, color's going to be big this year.  HUGE.
Odelia Kaly of You're a Tulle in some seriously fabulous DIY sparkly kicks.  (As if there were any other kind...)

Juliet DeRose of The Style Squeeze prepares for sartorial battle.

B: Frolicking in Foxy Fur
Oh, look!  It's ME!!
Stephanie Kay of Lovely Bands in a seriously hippie-chic headband (that I must own).
And guess what?  She also makes turbans!!!!
One of my all-time favorite bloggers, Grace Atwood, of BaubleBar and Stripes and Sequins sports a fierce sequin skirt and polka dots!  I must admit, I had a bit of a starstruck moment...

C: Neon and prints!  Prints and neon!
Bobbie Austin of Bobbie Austin's Closet is probably one of the best-dressed chick's I've ever met.  I don't know too many people who can pull off leopard spandex (myself excluded, of course).

Please also note the Davy Crockett inspired hat with fox fur tail.  This girl is styled out well beyond her years...

Mellow yellow, yellow pants...
Reinaldo Irizarry of Reyal Fashion and Tashah Nicole of Cocoa Lux sport snazzy navy and mustard cords.
I was told they did not coordinate this morning...

D: The new J Brand RTW Collection!
That's right... J Brand is launching a RTW line!!  Even though the color palette is a little safe for my liking (and severely lacking in lilac), the leather was super soft and the knits were very versatile.  An enthusiastic thumbs up from me.
J Brand and leather.  Two of my very favorite things... now combined.
Hmm... how do I explain this to my bank account?

And, since I'm feelin' the love, here are a few more of my fave stylish standouts!
Jennine Jacob, founder of IFB, in chic lace and an old school rhinestone brooch.  Bringin' it back...
Serena Goh of The Spicy Stiletto in classy neutrals and some fab two-tone heels.
Little Lime Dress in a see-through skirt that puts my see-through pants to shame.
Work it girl... own it.
And what would a blogger conference be without some stunning nail art (and a ring that resides mid-finger)?  NOTHING, that's what!  Talk about some fashionable filanges...

And that about does it for me, folks!  But you can expect a full recap next week, complete with new blogs to watch and blogging tips from the best in the biz.

Try to contain yourselves...

Until then, go out and enjoy yourselves.  Oh, and it's fashion week, in case you've been living under a rock didn't know.

  1. Gorgeous styles! Loving your blog, it's a great read! I am your newest follower, can't wait to see more!

  2. Yes ma'am, the two-tone heels are some seriously spicy stiletto's... they are Prada! And the sparkly kicks were DIY, so the blogger made them herself. :)

  3. So bummed I couldnt make it! THanks for the documentation! Check my bloggg today -- p.s. we must meet up soon - how shall we celebrate vday? drown ourselves in inappropriate amounts of midday cocktails?! I think so.

  4. Dying over the two-tone heels on Spicy Stiletto and the sparkly sneakers...any chance you got the labels??

  5. So great meeting you as well! Have a great Fashion Week, and thanks for the comment! :)
