Denim and Neon: The Perfect Pair

There are few great pairings throughout history that rival the chemistry of denim and neon:

Peanut butter and jelly is one example.

Barbie and Ken, perhaps;

Eggs and ketchup, maybe.

Vodka and soda!!

Apples and peanut butter.

Peanut butter and rice cakes!

Peanut butter and yogurt...

basically peanut butter and anything.

But I digress...

Today, I explore the unparalleled synergy that results from the union of neon and denim.  Especially when both components are squared.

That's right, I'm wearing denim on denim and neon on neon!!!
(Note: this outfit is largely result of the fact that I impulse-bought a denim hooded vest two years ago and just found it in my closet.  That's right, folks... I forgot I owned it.)

Denim vest: Mike and Chris. Leather Jacket: ASOS (similar, also seen here).  T-shirt: Ella Moss.  Jeans: 7 for all Mankind. Shoes: Nike (also seen here).  TOTALLY AMAZING NEON BAG: Cambridge Satchel. (not seen anywhere else on the blog because it is brand spankin' new).

Key learnings from this post - 

Things men like: these neon sneakers, which they refer to as "kicks."  Example: "sweet kicks" (this statement is generally followed by a creepy wink).
